Candy HertzIn 2010, Candy Hertz was a Ms. Globe Finalist. In 2011, Candy Hertz is an announcer on Hobart’s Home of the Biggest Stars, 7HOFM. It was announced today that Candy has joined the growing line-up of dedicated talent at Hobart’s Home of Breakfast with the Stars, 7HOFM. With a number of exciting projects in the development pipeline, Candy’s appointment was the result of an exhaustive nation-wide search for the perfect announcer to fit with the highly-driven staff of Tasmanian Broadcasters’ flagship station.

Mr Gil Sellars, General Manager of 7HOFM

“Candy is a welcome addition to the team. Her theoretical experience as a Post-Graduate Commercial Radio student at Swinburne University, as well as real world radio experience with SEAFM Northern Tasmania and the NOVA Cassanovas gives her a solid grounding on which Mark and the Content team expect to develop her skill set in the coming years”

Mr Mark Wiggett, Content Director of 7HOFM

“Exciting times ahead – in more than 80 years of broadcasting, 7HOFM has rarely had 12 casual and full-time announcers in the currently expanding line-up. We are a station operating in a competitive, metro-focused, capital-city market and Candy had to beat out a number of very talented and well-known hosts for this remarkable opportunity.

Candy has life experience to boot:

- An extra on the sets of Australian programming (Neighbours, Winners and Losers, City Homicide)
- In the world of advertising (Clemenger BBDO and Grey),
- An MC (Launcestons’ 2011 Festivale and Roving Reporter and Band Interviewer for MSFEST 2011)
- A Speed Dating Host
- and my personal favourite – an appearance in a Hungry Jacks TVC (Fret not – 7HOFM Integration is already pulling the old YouTube files....),

As an announcer, Candy has a unique perspective on life and one that I’m confident will entertain our listeners

For the immediate future, Candy will continue to work with Content and Integration teams on projects currently in the
development pipeline as well as fine tuning her announcing skills.

Stay tuned to Hobart’s 101.7 for more information
