7HOFM has launched The Drive Home, “The only local two-hour drive duo (4pm – 6pm weekdays) that will provide Hobartians with a real alternative to syndicated programming sourced out of Sydney and Melbourne on other commercial FM stations,” according to Content Director, Mark Wiggett.

Hosted by 7HOFM stalwart Jason “Wolfie” Wolfgram and star-recruit Candy Hertz, The Drive Home launches with an entourage of celebrity Tasmanians on day one:

- Anna McMahon – WIN Television Tasmania News Anchor - Ali & Esther – Channel Sevens’ My Kitchen Rules (2011) - Lucy Muir - Channel Nines’ The Farmer Wants a Wife (2011) - Jack Lark – Channel Tens’ Junior Masterchef (2010 Runner up) - Rob Valentine – Lord Mayor of the City of Hobart (Rob famously denied Hamish & Andy the keys to the city)

Jessica Mauboy has also phoned in to touch base with the new team.

Mark Wiggett says, “The Drive Home (TDH) has been months in the making and the team is very excited that the big day is finally here. Wolfie, Candy and their team of producers and integration specialists have done a stellar job bringing this show together and I'm confident that TDH will present the people of Hobart with the local content and music they have been crying out for.

“TDH will be a sublime blend of entertainment gossip, celebrity, the music you want and love, and TDH and the 7HOFM StreetStars hitting the streets of Hobart.

“TDH will spend the first two weeks exploring the best of Hobart including abseiling off one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks – it’s going to be a whole lot of fun.

With Breakfast with the Stars off to California, Cirque Du Soleil coming to Tasmania and now Tasmania’s only local drive duo hitting the airwaves, 7HOFM really is raising the bar – I think our listeners are really going to get a kick out of what is planned next,” said Wiggett
